1time Airline (Pty) Ltd was a low cost South African airline that operated for approximately 8 years between the year 2004 and 2012. They are also based in Johannesburg, near O.R Thambo International Airport. The airline only flew Domestic flights around South Africa with many of them being the more famous destinations such as :
- Cape Town – Cape Town International Airport
- Durban – King Shake International Airport
- East London – East London Airport
- George – George Airport
- Johannesburg – O.R Thambo International Airport
- Port Elizabeth – Port Elizabeth Airport
- Zanzibar – Zanzibar International Airport
- Livingstone – Livingstone Airport
- Victoria Falls – Victoria Falls Airport
The name 1time is commonly pronounced and “onetime” and in South African terms, “Onetime” means “For Real”! The Airline was sadly closed due to liquidation in 2012, and has been closed ever since.
The founders owned an aviation holding company, Afrisource Holdings, through which they owned Aeronexus, an aviation company that offered various aircraft services (and performed maintenance for 1time).
The Airline had 11 Aircrafts in total under its control and all of them consisted of the McDonnell Range. Some of these Aircrafts consisted of the:
1time Airline has since been closed since liquidation in 2012 and no longer has any planes that are in flight. The difference between 1time airline and 1time.co.za is that 1time.co.za is an online travel booking system based on the domain www.1time.co.za. The domain was a very catch frase because 1time or “One Time” in South African means “For Real” and we are totally “For Real” when we promise to get you the best flight and accommodations deals for you.
